Inter want to sign fourth striker

Inter Milan are still looking for another influential striker for their attacking lines and are still hoping for a swap between Albert Gudmundsson and Marko Arnautovic.

The Nerazzurri already have three main strikers competing for two starting positions in Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 formation.

These include captain Lautaro Martinez, his most important partner from last season Marcus Thuram and new signing Mehdi Taremi.

On the other hand, the rest of the division is made up of out-of-favor strikers, most notably Joaquin Correa, Martin Satriano and Eddie Salcedo.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri find themselves in a difficult situation, as we are only two weeks away from the end of the summer transfer market.

Inter would like to strengthen their ranks with another important striker, but first they have to reduce their attacking department.

That is why the Italian champions would like to kill two birds with one stone.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInter1908The Nerazzurri hope to include Arnautovic in a swap deal for Gudmundsson.

Inter Milan hopes to exchange Marko Arnautovic for Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa

Inter have been chasing the Icelandic star for several months, but Fiorentina recently overtook them in the race for the 27-year-old’s services.

The Viola seemed to be close to signing the Genoa star, but Grifone refused to release the player until a replacement was found, leaving the Nerazzurri with a glimmer of hope.

The source therefore believes that Inter would be willing to offer Arnautovic as a ready-made replacement for the Ligurians, who also sold Mateo Retegui to Atalanta in recent weeks.

Inter and Genoa will face each other in their Serie A opener on Saturday, and this could be an opportunity for the Italian champions to discuss the matter with Genoa officials.

The two clubs already shook hands in the summer when the Nerazzurri signed the Spanish goalkeeper Josep Martinez.
