The Philadelphia Eagles are considered a real threat to win the 2024 Super Bowl.

Philadelphia has talent all over the roster and there is no area that needs improvement with the 2024 season just weeks away. That’s not to say the Eagles couldn’t use a little more depth, but there are no glaring holes on the roster.

One position where the Eagles could use a little more depth is at defensive end. Philadelphia appears to be in a good position right now, but it could never hurt to add a few experienced players on defense in case injuries occur. One player who could make a lot of sense for the Eagles is former standout defensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers, Randy Gregory.

He is currently a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but is expected to be released next week, according to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk.

“The Buccaneers have reached an agreement with edge rusher Randy Gregory that will result in his release next week, live commentator Chris Meyers said during the local broadcast of Saturday’s preseason game,” Williams said. “Hall of Fame cornerback Rondé Barber, the broadcast’s co-commentator, said the team will recoup the veteran’s signing bonus.

“Gregory had $1.365 million guaranteed in his one-year contract with the Bucs in the offseason, including a $1.13 million signing bonus. On Saturday, he was fined more than $1 million for missing the mandatory minicamp, training camp and two preseason games.”

Gregory is a seven-year veteran of the National Football League with 22 sacks and 117 total tackles in his career. If the Eagles could get him at a cheap price, why not give him a chance?
