According to a press release, the Elyria Youth Sports Club will present its first father-daughter dance, “Isn’t She Lovely,” on Sept. 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 427 Chapman Lane in Vermilion.

The purpose of the 2024 Father-Daughter Dance is to promote positive relationships, said Aric Bowens, one of the event’s organizers.

“This is a new event for the Elyria Youth Sports Club, which is dedicated to making a positive impact on youth in the community, which includes all of Lorain County and the surrounding areas, not just Elyria, although Elyria is our home,” Bowens said in the release.

Through Aug. 31, early bird tickets cost $50 for a pair, he said.

After that, the cost is $60 for a pair until the event sells out, Bowens said.

There are a limited number of VIP tickets, each costing $75, he said.

“The young ladies will receive a personalized gift bag and more,” Bowens said.

The deadline for platinum or diamond sponsorship is September 14, while the deadline for all other sponsors is September 21, the press release said.
