The owners have now applied to South Cambridgeshire District Council for permission to build seven more buildings.

Four of these would be similar to existing lodges, two would be “larger luxury lodges” and one would be an “animal experience lodge” where guests would stay closer to the on-site animals, which include alpacas, donkeys, goats and chickens.

The planning application states that the “well-planned construction of additional holiday homes” “will blend in with the surrounding landscape but will also give the applicant the opportunity to expand its current business and serve a wider range of guests”.

It continues: “The construction project is limited in its scale so that disruption, traffic and noise are kept to a minimum and therefore there is no impact on neighboring properties.”

“The applicant wishes to expand and enhance its site and give more guests the opportunity to experience the stunning lake and surrounding Cambridgeshire countryside.”
