UFC announces Q4 2024 schedule, reveals final Apex fight before renovations

As 2024 draws to a close, the UFC is slowly putting together its final events of the year. Luckily for combat sports fans, there are still five PPVs and eight Fight Night events left. During the broadcast of UFC 304, the world leader in MMA revealed its plans for the fourth quarter of the year. While some of the announcements were expected, others came as a shock to fans. Here’s everything we know so far about all the events announced.

Aaron Bronsteter confirmed the schedule for the rest of 2024 on Twitter after it was revealed during the broadcast of UFC 305. The veteran journalist tweeted:

“The UFC has announced its Q4 events:

October 5 – UFC 307 @ Utah
12/19 October – UFC FN @ Apex
October 26 – UFC 308 @ Abu Dhabi
November 2nd – UFC FN @ Edmonton
November 9 – UFC FN @ Apex
November 16 – UFC 309 @ MSG
November 23 – UFC FN @ Macau, China
December 7 – UFC 310 @ Vegas
December 14th – UFC FN @ Tampa.”

The first event of the fourth quarter kicks off with the return of the ever-active Alex Pereira. He will headline UFC 307 in Utah and put his belt on the line for the third time against Khalil Rountree. The evening’s co-main event is Raquel Pennington vs. Juliana Pena. In addition, UFC 307 is followed by two fight nights at UFC Apex.

Unfortunately, the main events of these fight nights have not yet been announced. The world number one in MMA will then end October with another PPV event in Abu Dhabi, headlined by a title fight between Max Holloway and Ilia Topuria for the 145-pound belt.

A closer look at the upcoming UFC events

Following UFC 308, the UFC will return to Canada for Fight Night in Edmonton. The main attraction of the event will be a bout between Rose Namajunas and Erin Blanchfield. After that, the UFC will return to the Apex before another PPV event. UFC 309 is MMA’s premier annual outing to Madison Square Garden, and reports say Jones vs. Miocic will be the main attraction of that card, but note that nothing has been confirmed at this time.

This will be followed by two Fight Night events, including UFC 310, the final PPV event of the year. If all goes well, UFC 310 will mark the return of Conor McGregor to the UFC after a three-year hiatus. It goes without saying that fans have a busy schedule and some very interesting fights ahead of them in the fourth quarter of this year.
