Ashley Roberts “hosts the new Netflix show Dance Monsters”

Ashley Roberts is expected to host the new show “Dance Monsters”.

The 40-year-old singer is set to host the Netflix show, which is set to air next year, and Diversity’s Ashley Banjo – who previously served as a judge on Sky talent show Got to Dance – is expected to be among the judges.

A television industry insider told the TV Biz column of British newspaper The Sun: “Becoming the face of the new big Netflix show is quite a coup for both actors as it will allow them to reach an international audience.”

“It will introduce the world to two faces who are probably still best known in Blighty – and could lead to bigger things for both of them.”

Roberts also has a lot of dancing experience. Not only was she a member of the Pussycat Dolls, but she also appeared in the 16th season of Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.

Netflix confirmed the dance competition show in August, saying: “Through visual effects, live motion capture and facial recognition, contestants are transformed into lovable and fantastical dancing monsters who come to life in front of an expert panel of judges and a live studio audience.”

“It’s hugely ambitious and at its core it’s a heartfelt journey where we see what happens when you can really dance like nobody’s watching.

“For their time on stage, they can escape reality, become something truly extraordinary and stand out from the crowd.”

Filming for the international show takes place in Hampshire in the south of England.

Shows like “The Voice” and the Netflix dating series “Sexy Beasts” are becoming increasingly popular because the contestants are judged on their personality and talent rather than their looks.
