Meet the couples:
Hope & Arthur (Dallas, Texas)
Hope is a truck driver who appears tough on the outside but has a soft side for her boyfriend Arthur, who is currently behind bars. Although Hope and Arthur are in love, there are some trust issues that they must overcome to make their relationship work. Hope was unfaithful to Arthur while he was in prison and he won’t stay with her if that happens again.
Bianca & Daniel (Dania Beach, FL)
At the age of 23, Bianca was the victim of a drunk driving accident that nearly cost her life. During her recovery, she decided to contact someone who had committed the same crime as her to learn more about why someone would drive while drunk. But this pen pal quickly became her fiancé.
Kimberly and Joey (Eden, NC)
Kim, a married mother of two, has been trying to reconnect with Joey during her separation from the father of her children. Now that Joey has been released, they both try to put their exes in the past, but Joey receives a suspicious message in prison claiming that Kim is cheating on him! Zeruiah and Troy (Syracuse, NY)
Zeruiah is a pastor’s daughter who grew up in a strict household but began to rebel against the men she dated in her teens. Zeruiah’s ex-husband and the father of her son served time in prison and she eventually fell in love with his cellmate Troy. She divorced her ex and married Troy. Although Zeruiah’s family accepts their relationship, they are nonetheless tired of it. Her parents feel that if Troy is to be a part of the family, he must be a part of the church.
Julian & Christine (Annapolis, MD)
The phrase “opposites attract” applies perfectly to Julian and Christine. Julian, a conservative aspiring writer, found himself in an unexpected relationship when research for a book led him to the love of his life. When Julian connected with Christine, an inmate locked up for bank robbery, he wanted to gain insight for his book, but instead found a connection he never expected.
Latisha & Keith (Davenport, IA)
Latisha and Keith’s love story began in Season 4F of Love During Lockup, and now that Keith is due out any day now, Latisha is so excited for Love After Lockup. A recently passed law could allow Keith to be released immediately! Latisha can’t wait for Keith to get out and their marriage to finally be consummated!
