Vijay Raaz was removed from Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 due to his rude behaviour; read more

News of another dispute in Bollywood has surfaced on the Internet.

According to the latest reports, Vijay Raaz has been removed from Ajay Devgn’s upcoming comedySon of Sardaar 2.

According to the latest report from Pinkvilla, Vijay Raaz was removed from the project due to his unprofessional behavior towards the crew members, but Vijay Raaz’s side of the story tells a completely different story.

Sardaar’s co-producer’s son Kumar Mangat Pathak said, “Yes, it is true, we removed Vijay Raaz from the film because of his behaviour on the sets. He demanded bigger rooms, a van and also charged too much for the spot boys. His spot boy was paid Rs 20,000 per night, more than any big actor. The UK is expensive and during the shoot, everyone was given standard rooms but he demanded premium suites. When we tried to explain the charges to him, he refused to understand and was rude. His constant reply was, ‘If you don’t arrive, you probably won’t reach Kaunsa.’ We tried to meet all his demands but his behaviour got worse and worse as there was no end to his demands. He even demanded two cars for the travel of a three-member team. How can we do this? When the EP said no, he was rude to the EP (Executive Producer). After all the discussions, we decided to remove him from the film.”

Meanwhile, Vijay Raaz reacted to this news and said, “I reached the set before the trial began. I reached the van and Ravi Kishan came to meet me. EP Ashish and producer Kumar Mangat also came to meet me followed by director Vijay Arora. I got out of the van and saw Ajay Devgn standing about 25 metres away. I did not go to greet him as he was busy and continued talking to my friends nearby. 25 minutes later, Mr. Kumar Mangat came to me and said, ‘Aap Film Se Nikal Jaaye, Hum Aapko Rahe Hai’. My only misbehaviour was that I did not greet Mr. Ajay Devgn. I did not even meet the crew and these are the only people I interacted with. I was taken out of the film 30 minutes after I arrived on the set for not greeting Ajay Devgn. These are powerful people and the talk of misbehaviour does not come up at all.”

Refuting all these allegations made by Vijay, Mangat added, “Ajay Devgn is not someone who waits for people to greet him. He always likes to be around creative people and treats everyone with respect. The story that he was removed for not greeting Ajay Devgn is false. We have lost at least two crores by removing Vijay Raaz from the film and we would not take such a step over petty issues. His behaviour was a big cause of concern and there is no place for disrespect on the sets of our film as we work like a family. He has constantly told all our EPs and even me that he does not need to be teased. Son of Sardaar 2and he’s only doing it because we spoke to him. He kept asking for a bigger room even though he knew that rooms in the UK cost a fortune. He refused to cooperate. This attitude is a problem and even we didn’t want to have anything to do with a person who has this mentality.”

Mangat also said, “Even other actors and I stayed in the same room category as him which costs Rs 45,000 per night and in one of the best hotels, it was very spacious. Unprofessional behaviour is not allowed. It is good that we took him out before the shoot started because his presence and behaviour would have caused a lot of problems on the sets. Ajay Devgn has worked with so many experienced actors and there were never any such problems. Yes, I went to meet him (Vijay) in the van on the day of the shoot but the demand he made there was the final nail in the coffin. He asked us for a van similar to that of Ajay Devgn. As I said earlier, the demands never stopped and after consulting with Ajay, I took him out of the film. We did not take him out for not greeting Ajay Devgn, we took him out for making unreasonable demands and misbehaving with the crew. He has now even refused to pay back the advance he received.”

The co-producer said that Vijay Raaz will now be replaced by Sanjay Mishra.

A user commented, “I have never heard of Ajay evicting an actor for not greeting him. This seems to be an absolutely false accusation. An actor who made Shaitaan and allowed Madhavaan to play the meaty role despite being the producer would never do such tricks.”
