Malik Nabers is their only bright spot in the preseason so far

The New York Giants have a tough season ahead of them, but at least they have wide receiver Malik Nabers.

Quarterback Daniel Jones just signed a new contract, had a subpar start to the 2023 season and suffered a torn ACL. The preseason capped off the season in the preseason game against the Houston Texans when he threw one of the worst interceptions of all time that resulted in a touchdown going the other way. This was one of two interceptions on the day.

But what about that day? Nabers caught four passes for 54 yards in limited play. That included a stunning catch at the line of scrimmage that required him to stand tall and stretch to haul in the pass. That’s become routine for Nabers, and the Giants will need a lot more of that to make up for their lack of talent in 2024.

Maybe things are getting better in the Big Apple, but after their failed attempt to sign New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, which was revealed on HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” it’s pretty obvious that the Giants aren’t happy with their quarterback’s performance. How much of that can Nabers make up for?
