Waterloo Road aired a surprise accident involving Nicky and Schuey in tonight’s (February 26) series finale.

Schuey hasn’t had an easy time of it lately. His stressful home life was already revealed when his abusive father, Pete Weever, spoke to school principal Kim Campbell about his son’s bad behavior.

In tonight’s episode, the teenager’s devastating story reached its climax when Pete ran over canteen worker Nicky with his car.

At the beginning of the episode, Nicky and Kim went to see Schuey to discuss his connection to Tonya. The students had recently teamed up to sell stolen goods.

When the two arrived at Schuey’s house, they were shocked to find the teenager locked in the trunk of a car.

“You look like you’ve been there all night,” Nicky said, to which Schuey replied, “Look, you’re not even supposed to be here. All right? Your family ratted us out. The police came to our house and it’s your fault.”

“Is that why your father put you in there because the police came?” Kim asked worriedly, while Schuey fearfully insisted that his father had done nothing.

Later, during a meeting with social services, Schuey became agitated and left the room when he realized his father was on his way to school. Kim managed to calm him down and assured him that she could help him.

Soon, an angry Pete arrived and got into a scuffle with Donte, who knocked him to the ground. In retaliation, Pete drove his car toward the unsuspecting Donte, and Nicky quickly pushed him out of the way, getting knocked over in the process.

While Nicky was recovering in hospital surrounded by her family, Schuey and his sister Portia were seen leaving Waterloo Road with a social worker.

Could this be the beginning of a new beginning for the teenager?
