CL of 2NE1 acted like the leader she is and risked her life to save Sandara Park during the magnitude 9.0 earthquake in Japan.

Sandara Park explained that she was on the 34th floor of the hotel she was staying in when the earthquake struck. “Usually, when I’m scared or injured, I try to hold on, but at that moment I felt like I had to survive, so I crawled around on the floor and screamed for help. But it turned out that I was the only one on the floor.”

In desperation, Sandara Park needed help but managed to call the hotel phone and was somehow connected to CL.

“She calmly said, ‘Unnie, stay where you are. Don’t get on the elevators. I’ll get you,'” Sandara Park said. “I waited and believed her words, and CL actually came.”

CL and another person ran from the 31st floor to the 34th floor to rescue Sandara Park.

Lee Joon of MBLAQ, who had previously experienced a 7.5 magnitude earthquake, was amazed that CL was able to maintain control in such a situation and save her member.

When asked how CL could stay so calm and go looking for Sandara Park, she replied, “If I die, I die, and if I had to die, I thought it would be better to die with my member. That seemed like the right thing to do.”
