Al-Hilal won the Saudi Super Cup by coming from behind to beat Al-Nassr 4-1 on Saturday, with all four goals coming in a dominant second half.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the only goal for Al-Nassr a minute before the end of a first half in which chances were few and far between, when he capitalised on a wonderful pass from Abd El Rahaman Ghareeb.

After the break, Al-Hilal dominated, with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Malcom taking turns scoring goals to secure the win.

Milinkovic-Savic equalised in the 55th minute after a passing game with Mitrovic, firing a powerful shot into Al-Nassr’s net.

Eight minutes later, Al-Hilal took the lead when Mitrovic rose to head in a perfect cross from Ruben Neves from close range.

The Serbian striker then extended Al-Hilal’s lead when he received a pass from Brazilian Malcom and shot the ball straight into the net in the 69th minute.

The Brazilian striker scored Al-Hilal’s fourth goal three minutes later when he took advantage of a mistake by Al-Nassr goalkeeper Pinto in controlling the ball after a pass from Aymeric Laporte and effortlessly fired the ball home.

Al-Hilal won the title for the second consecutive year and the fifth time in its history and remains the championship’s most successful team, three titles ahead of Al-Nassr.
