Disturbing videos surface of mother accused of murdering Sophie Wang on Gold Coast
More disturbing videos have emerged of the mother accused of killing Gold Coast schoolgirl Sophie Wang.
The horrifying clips were posted on TikTok before Yingying Xu allegedly murdered her 10-year-old daughter on Tuesday.
“I want everyone to know that the situation you are seeing is fake. A false god, the Antichrist is a false god,” Xu, 46, said in Mandarin.

“I felt the devil Satan telling me how he was influencing me and confusing my soul.
“At some point it will control me 100 percent. It will control my soul so that I can do evil things.”
Xu remains behind bars and the family home in Carrara is a crime scene.
Her husband Yun Wang raised the alarm when he found Sophie – remembered as a caring, kind and high-achieving fifth-grader – dead in their Emerald Lakes home on Tuesday evening.
The local community has rallied around the grieving academic after his wife was charged with murder.
Neighbors reportedly heard Wang, a university professor, screaming after he discovered the body.
Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the girl, but her death at the scene was pronounced “incredibly confrontational.”
“This is absolutely disgusting, heartbreaking and horrific,” said Queensland Premier Steven Miles.
“I just can’t imagine how that father felt when he heard the reports of his screams – no one would wish that on him.”
Xu was arrested hours later on a nearby street and charged with murder.
She was remanded in custody after her case was heard at Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday. Her case was adjourned until November 29.
“Police continue to investigate the motive of the alleged murder, including the defendant’s social media activity,” police said.
Flowers have been laid outside the house, which remains a crime scene, as locals try to come to terms with the terrible news.
Local residents will gather at 4 p.m. Friday for a one-hour vigil on the Boulevard in Emerald Lakes to remember Sophie.
Wang is an associate professor of chemistry and forensics at Griffith University.
According to his profile at Griffith University, he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and completed his postdoctoral training at the University of Texas and the University of Sydney, and earned his PhD from Fudan University in China.
“We are deeply saddened to hear of the tragic death of the daughter of a valued member of the Griffith community,” a Griffith University spokesperson said in a statement.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.”
Sophie’s School offers counseling for students, staff and parents.
“Our prayers are with the family, friends, first responders and all those affected by the loss of this beloved child in their home,” the school said in a statement.
Police said the crime scene posed a challenge for emergency responders.
“This is one of the most harrowing scenes I have witnessed in my 15-year career as a detective,” said Deputy Detective Inspector Kent Ellis.
Sophie’s school – Emmanuel College – will also hold a prayer service in the morning.
