Fast X is one of the longest Fast & Furious films
Fast X is now in theaters, marking the beginning of the end of the Fast saga—and you better buckle up for an epic ride.
The new film will be released for a confirmed 141 minutes and 41 secondsor just over two hours and 20 minutes. This makes it one of the longest Fast & Furious films to date, just about a minute behind Fast 9 at 142 minutes and 50 seconds.
Fast X was originally supposed to be the first part of a two-part finale to the Fast saga, but now it looks like we could be getting a trilogy to conclude this series. Could we see a three-hour Fast movie before the end? We’re not ruling that out yet.
You can cut down on the running time a bit if you don’t stay until the end credits, but don’t leave before the mid-credit scene, because you’ll definitely want to see that. But no spoilers here.
Whether we will actually get an additional Fast & Furious movie has yet to be confirmed by Universal, but we will definitely get Fast & Furious 11 or Fast 11 or Fast X Part 2 or whatever they want to call it.
The next film will see Louis Leterrier return to direct after succeeding Justin Lin on Fast X. And it sounds like the next film will have a lot to offer, as Michelle Rodriguez has teased Fast X’s cliffhanger ending.
“I think people are going to be really, really surprised and we’re going to have a lot of open mouths at the end of Fast X. Let’s just put it that way,” she teased in March 2023.
“It’ll be like, ‘Really? What?’ So! That’s how I was in the theater. I was like, ‘Oh my God. What have we done?’.”
Get ready: The beginning of the end of the road is here – and perhaps no one is safe.
