Do you need help improving the function and control of your pelvic floor muscles?
In this five-week specialty course, you will learn proven techniques to support and restore your pelvic floor muscles using floor-based exercises, relaxation, breath work, and light hand weights/resistance.
Like any other muscle, the pelvic floor needs to be strengthened and stretched to ensure it functions properly. The pelvic floor muscles help with bladder and bowel control, sexual function, and support the pelvis and lower back.
Hormonal changes, menopause and perimenopause, hypermobility, aging, pregnancy, childbirth, surgery, a weak back or abdominal muscles, or a sedentary lifestyle can lead to muscle weakening.
Leakage, stress incontinence, lack of sexual function, overactivity and tightness, weakness or prolapse – we can help.
They can also become overactive and tense due to an overly controlled, tight abdominal wall, cramps, stress, and poor breathing.
- We will show you how to optimally activate your pelvic floor through breathing and movement.
- Learn how to functionally activate the pelvic floor through movement.
- Develop exercises in the studio that you can also do at home.
You can take all courses individually, but it is recommended that you complete the full 5 weeks to continue to develop and progress.
Course led by Ellen Tipping, specialist trainer in women’s health and dysfunction, pelvic floor healing, caesarean section healing, tummy tuck, birth preparation and postpartum care and Pilates expert.
