Summary of “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles”, Season 15, Episode 8
There is trouble in paradise with Heather and Altman on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles Season 15, Episode 8. Last week, Flagg left the co-listing task to Tracy and the Altman brothers sold the most expensive listing ever in Encino. This week, Heather and Altman disagree about priorities between work and family life and Tracy and Flagg find buyers for their Roxbury listing. Here’s everything you need to know about Million Dollar Listing LA Season 15, Episode 8: “More Mansions, More Problems.”
Tracy may have to negotiate with Flagg for joint listing of Roxbury on Million Dollar Listing LA
Heather tried her best to find a work-life balance, but felt overwhelmed. Altman was in Orange County a lot more often because of her new office, which meant she had to be a single mom with the kids. Don’t they have nannies to help? Still, the show must go on, so Heather got to work on her Beverly Grove listing. This 7,000-square-foot home with stunning views had stalled on the market, so they dropped the price by a few million. When that happened, Heather couldn’t keep up with the viewings. It was a good problem to have, but Heather needed help.
As Tracy had predicted, the Roxbury listing didn’t sell itself, contrary to what Flagg had said. Flagg had flown to Paris for Fashion Week and left Tracy to work on their joint listing. There were plenty of showings, but no offers, as renovations still needed to be done. The house was move-in ready, though, which was a positive. Tracy knew they just needed the right buyers to realize the potential. And that was Flagg’s clients, Kevin and Shiva. She noted that since Flagg was representing the seller and buyers, she might have to negotiate against Flagg. She mused, “This will be fun… for me.”
Altman shows RHOC star Heather Dubrow a Beverly Hills property owned by Hollywood royalty
Altman’s next big job was Tower Grove, which was close to home. He thought it would make Heather happier, as the two weren’t getting along well at the moment. It was an old-school Hollywood mansion owned by film producer Dino De Laurentiis, also known as the grandfather of Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis. It had eight acres of land and was perched high on a hill overlooking the city, the ocean, the mountains, and, most importantly, Drake’s house.
Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow jumped on the property after her son told her about it. Nick Dubrow was an intern at Altman’s firm and knew his mother would love the house. Altman joked that Nick was brought on the team because “his parents sold a $55 million house with me.” Note to future real estate agents: That’s all it takes to get on Altman’s team. No big deal.
Heather immediately had a vision of how to remodel the property to her liking. She said owning this house would seal that they were out of OC and officially in LA. Then she could finally join Real Housewives of Beverly Hills! Bravo, gods, make this happen. Altman told her to hurry because this $20 million offer was a steal. All construction had to happen quickly, too. They only had six months before the Wildlife Protection Ordinance went into effect, protecting land so developers couldn’t build these mega-mansions everywhere. Horror! So Heather quickly called her husband, Terry Dubrow, to get the process started.
Heather and Altman take different paths at Million Dollar Listing LA
Tracy called Flagg to tell him the good news about their joint listing in Roxbury. They had a potential offer from Kevin and Shiva, so he had to get back to LA immediately to start negotiations. They had to decide who would represent the buyer and seller to make sure both parties got a fair deal. However, Flagg was too busy shopping the streets of Paris and buying Birkin’s to celebrate. Tracy lamented, “He’s too much work.”
Heather was excited to finally sell the Beverly Grove listing. She said, “Yes, I can be a mom and be successful. I can do anything!” But that excitement waned when she met with Altman to buy equipment for the new OC office. They had $2 million to spend on the renovation, and he was worried she would go over budget. Heather was insulted that he questioned her spending. The bigger problem, though, was that the two were going in different directions. Heather wanted Altman to settle down, while Altman wanted to keep going. He said Heather had wanted him to slow down for years, but that just wasn’t his style.
Flagg and Tracy snuggle up in bed to finish their Roxbury entry
Flagg stopped by Tracy’s house to discuss his trip and the Roxbury offer. He said, “Paris was great. The food was 10 out of 10. Dick was awesome.” But then it came down to getting down to business. So naturally, Tracy and Flagg snuggled under a giant blanket to negotiate. And the word “negotiate” is a very broad term here. Flagg had an offer of $8.5 million in cash and Tracy told the seller to take it. Fine. Tracy joked that they should do more deals together in bed. Flagg agreed. He said, “Tracy’s right, we should do more deals like this. I go to Europe, she does the work. I don’t see any problems with the situation.”
Altman also closed the Tower Grove deal with the Dubrows. He and Heather met up with them at Drake’s to celebrate. Unfortunately for Heather Dubrow, this was at the restaurant and not at their future neighbor’s house. They gave Altman high praise for their house being the third biggest sale in OC history. Heather Altman winced. She didn’t want her husband to get praise that would spur him on to work harder.
Josh then told the story of how Heather got the nanny to follow him as he played with his son. Heather Dubrow told her to trust her husband. Josh joked that it was hard being a father and he didn’t know how his wife did it. It was an awkward exchange in which no one let Heather Altman get a word in edgewise. She sipped her martini and smiled, but all was not well with the Altmans.
“Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” continues Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
