To solve the problems of last season, the Hurricanes added a time management CoA.

It’s the first week back and the Miami Hurricanes have already made some changes to the sideline that should address some areas where the coaching staff struggled last season.

Mario Cristobal had his first weekly press conference of the season and one of the most important innovations during his time on the podium was the appointment of a new time management coach.

In light of the incident at the Georgia Institute of Technology, the media asked what has changed in training preparation today to avoid problems with the clock and time management.

Last season, the Hurricanes struggled with late-game issues and questionable timeouts, and Cristobal knew it was something that needed to be fixed.

“We had a process, we just didn’t follow it. We also incorporated time management to keep overdoing the situation. We had it in place, but we didn’t follow the process, which is the most important part. We definitely increased the intensity of the organization behind it,” Cristobal said.

When asked who it was, he smiled and said, “You don’t want to know,” while asking more questions about the upcoming season.

What happened against Georgia Tech is one of the biggest issues from last season that has haunted the Hurricanes. Clock issues shouldn’t be an issue this season with the new addition on the bench.
