Renowned iQ® Optima® collection now available in updated color palette
SOLON, Ohio, 26 August 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Tarkett, a global leader in innovative and sustainable flooring solutions, has announced an updated range for its popular iQ.® Optima® Collection of homogeneous vinyl floors scientifically engineered to preserve their beauty over time, support better indoor air quality and simplify care and maintenance. The updated palette offers a classic travertine pattern available in 31 neutral colors and 24 colors.
“From every perspective, Tarkett’s iQ Optima is a very smart choice,” said Paul YoungSenior Vice President of Product Innovation and Design at Tarkett North America. “The new soft, tonal color combinations promote overall well-being and the intelligent quality that gave iQ its name has been proven in the most demanding environments for more than 20 years.”
Tarkett’s iQ vinyl sheet product line eliminates the need for floor sealing. By simply dry polishing, the homogeneous flooring regains its original appearance and maintains the smooth surface required for maximum hygiene and resistance to chemicals and stain removers.
“Because a floor coating is never required, iQ Floor ensures your floor, your space and your employees can continue to perform at their best,” said Young.
This durability not only reduces maintenance costs, but also allows environmental service teams to work more efficiently and with fewer chemicals. This makes Tarkett’s iQ solutions a smart choice for spaces where people live, work and relax. The collection not only contributes to healthier indoor air quality, but is also asthma and allergy friendly® CERTIFIED, FloorScore® certified and, like all Tarkett North America floors, free of orthophthalates. The collection is also part of ReStart®Tarkett’s flooring take-back and recycling program.
Originally developed to meet the needs of critical care facilities, iQ Optima is a highly durable solution for any environment. It is tough enough to withstand heavy equipment and rolling loads, and also offers superior resistance to scratches, scuffs, stains, chemicals, gouges and tears. Because iQ finishes are combined with welding rods that enable heat-set, heat-welded seams, the collection supports infection control protocol. The highly flexible material forms an integrated cove that mitigates cracks and crevices where bacteria can hide.
From soft corals and blues to vibrant yellows and greens, the new iQ Optima palette offers a travertine pattern in a wide range of colors to help design any space, including the pops of color needed to help guide your way. iQ Optima also works harmoniously with the rest of Tarkett’s iQ specialty products, including iQ Optima Acoustic and iQ Granit SD, which provide high-performance flooring solutions for demanding spaces such as high-traffic entryways, static-sensitive areas, clean rooms, laboratories and more. By Johnsonite Color Foundations®Designers can also easily combine iQ products with Johnsonite wall skirting, stair treads and other finishing accessories. Color Foundations offers six neutral palettes that combine popular Johnsonite colors with hundreds of flooring options from across the Tarkett portfolio.
