Man allegedly stole teenagers’ cell phones
PEORIA, Arizona. – A man accused of stealing cell phones from teenagers at a Valley store has been arrested.
The thefts occurred earlier this summer near 83rd Avenue and Bell Road. Peoria According to police, 28-year-old Dominic Gonzalez was caught in the store filming a young girl with his cell phone. Moments later, Gonzalez allegedly stole the phone from the girl’s hand and fled the store.
“The cell phone was still unlocked, so he had full access to all her applications, videos and photos,” police said.
Investigators say Gonzalez also committed a similar crime against another juvenile at the same store.
Gonzelez was identified through surveillance video and arrested on August 22.
“As part of this investigation, a search warrant was executed on Dominic’s residence, where the clothing items Dominic was wearing during these incidents were found,” police said. “The stolen cell phones were not found.”
Police are asking anyone with information about these incidents to contact them at 623-773-8992.
