Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley has more recent wins than these potential Ryder Cup stars combined | Golf news and tour information
It can’t be easy to give anyone with a Netflix account the ability to watch one of the worst moments of your life at the touch of a button. ‘Full Swing’ has captured Keegan Bradley Only You missed the 2023 Ryder Cup and can now watch Bradley’s heartbreaking performance while eating lunch, running on the treadmill or doing laundry.
In that time, however, the last man has become the 2025 Ryder Cup captain and is now playing some great golf too. After claiming his third win in the last two years at this weekend’s BMW Championship (along with the 2022 Zozo Championship and the 2023 Travelers Championship), the 38-year-old has a real chance of becoming a Ryder Cup captain and could even sneak into this fall’s Presidents Cup.
He’s playing such good golf that he’s now outpacing some potential stars on next summer’s Ryder Cup team. Suffice it to say, when the coach plays better than the players, you know their game is good.
With his three wins in the last two seasons, Bradley beat out recent Ryder Cup participants Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Patrick Cantlay and Collin Morikawa, all of whom made the 2023 Ryder Cup squad ahead of Bradley.
Fowler has one of those with the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic, and Collin Morikawa dominated the field by six strokes at the 2023 Zozo Championship. Spieth, JT and Cantlay still have some work to do, as the latter two join Bradley in the Tour Championship field this week.
It’s not like Keegan Bradley has been particularly consistent this season, with finishes of 46th, 22nd and 59th before Castle Pines, but when he’s near the top of the leaderboard, he can get the job done. Will that continue at Bethpage Black? We’ll find out next fall, perhaps when Bradley serves as both coach and tee player.
