NBA Cup schedule for the Milwaukee Bucks
MILWAUKEE – The full schedule of group games for all 30 NBA teams, including the Milwaukee Bucks, has been released for the 2024-25 NBA Cup, formerly known as the In-Season Tournament.
The Bucks’ Group B in the Eastern Conference includes two Central Division rivals – the Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers – as well as the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors.
Here are the dates:
The four-game schedule begins with Gary Trent Jr., who signed a free-agent contract with the Bucks in July, playing against his former team, the Raptors. Trent Jr., who spent four years in Toronto, said goodbye to the organization and fan base in an Instagram post on Sunday.
Game 2 of the group stage is a rematch against the Pacers, who knocked out the Bucks last season and then sent Milwaukee home in their 2024 NBA playoff series. There’s no doubt that a new rivalry has been formed between these two teams, as tensions have regularly flared whenever they’ve taken the court against each other.
After those two home games, the Bucks travel to Miami (where Damian Lillard was an object of desire a year ago before signing with Milwaukee) and then Detroit. The Bucks have beaten the Pistons nine times in a row since 2022.
Many fans may remember the Los Angeles Lakers winning the first in-season tournament last season, but they may not remember the cash prizes.
These NBA Cup games (except for the championship) also count towards the regular season table and thus towards the playoff ranking.
