Leighton Meester from “Gossip Girl” wants to make an EXmas sequel
“Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester already wants to shoot a sequel to the Christmas film “EXmas”.
The Christmas film also stars Robbie Amell from “The Flash” as the better half of an ex-couple who have to spend Christmas together, while Graham comes home and finds that his family is already celebrating with her ex-fiancée Ali (Meester).
And although the film doesn’t hit theaters in the US until November 17, Meester revealed that she already has her eye on the unofficial film “Exmas 2.”
She told Best magazine: “It was fun the whole time! I’ve never had so much fun on a set and I think that comes across when you watch the film.”

“I just want a sequel immediately,” she continued.
Meester also shared that she believes the cinematic mistakes from the first film could themselves be a sequel.
“I’m sure there’s so much footage of all of us behind the scenes laughing our heads off that it would fill a whole movie on its own. It immediately felt like a real family, everyone got along so well, more than I could have imagined.”
She also added that the set was as harmonious as you would expect from a Christmas comedy, explaining: “The dynamic was so cozy, comfortable, supportive – and most of all, hilarious. Everyone brought something different to the table – there were little things that didn’t make it into the film.”

In the same interview, Meester also revealed that the “funniest” scene in the film was one in which the actors have to act high.
“The funniest part was walking around the table in front of the camera with a fisheye lens and watching each actor’s reaction as they ate a hash brownie.
“Just sitting back and trying to keep your composure while everyone was doing their best stoned performance in front of the camera. It was impossible to keep your composure.”
“EXmas” also stars Veronika Slowikowska from “What We Do in the Shadows,” Steven Huy from “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies,” Michael Hitchcock from “Puppy Love” and Kathryn Greenwood.
EXmas is available now on Amazon Freevee; there is currently no UK release date.
