Penny Bored – Dance in Hell
Pop-rock artist Penny Bored has announced her label debut EP. I’m bored!, is out September 13th. The EP includes the lead single “Dance In Hell,” which is available now and can be listened to below.
“I’m Bored! is about navigating your twenties,” shares Penny Bored songwriter Faith Alesia. “We experience heartbreak, navigate friendships, gossip, and even learn to own up to our own mistakes. This collection of songs describes my journey into a new phase of adulthood and how I’m learning to make the best of it, even if some days I have to be a little delusional to get through.”
About “Dance In Hell” they add: “‘Dance in Hell’ is about my relationship with self-sabotage, but more importantly, the importance of finding the positive in a negative situation.”
Penny Bored, Faith Alesia’s (they/them) solo project, combines catchy melodies with relatable themes with honest lyrics about mental health and personal struggles, creating an authentic discography. Inspired by early 2000s pop-rock, Alesia uses nostalgic sounds to create a safe space for listeners to connect and know they are not alone. Alesia reignited her passion for music in the summer of 2020 and continues to spread the message that it’s never too late to follow your dreams.
