Third wall erected around DNC congress after largely peaceful protest by the extreme left
CHICAGO — On Monday, far-left protesters broke through a metal wall erected around the DNC in an attempt to disrupt the DNC’s annual convention in Chicago. It’s not certain whether the angry mobs of thousands of protesters will make another attempt to storm the convention today, but Chicago police are taking no chances.
The Illinois State National Guard has been activated and a military police unit is already on standby within the Iron Curtain surrounding the convention.
The irony is so great that you could cut it with a knife!
Chicago just had a third Security fence around the Democratic Party Convention after left-wing radical demonstrators managed to break through the previous barriers earlier this week. This could be described as tightening the thumbscrews – literally and figuratively!
For a party that has been pretty vocal in its opposition to building walls (we’re looking at you, southern border), this move raises some eyebrows. Democrats have often criticized the idea of physical barriers, arguing that they’re ineffective and, well, just not the solution we should be pursuing. But now that the DNC is in town and protesters won’t take “no entry” as an answer, Democrats have gone into full fortress mode.
So what’s new? Along with the third level of fencing, police have bolted these barriers together more securely and added extra panels on top to prevent even more acrobatic protesters from pulling a Spider-Man. It’s clear they’re not messing around anymore – after the breach, they don’t seem to want to take any more chances.
Of course, the critics are having a blast with this. The contrast is almost too perfect: The same people who say “walls don’t work” are now surrounded by walls. Three walls, in fact. Meanwhile, those who favor stronger border security are pointing out what they see as a blatant hypocrisy: If walls are good enough to protect politicians, why shouldn’t they be used to secure the border?
This move is sure to fuel debate about security, borders and the effectiveness of physical barriers. Some say it’s a classic case of “do as I say, not as I do,” and the effect is definitely not good for the Democrats. But hey, if it keeps the convention safe, maybe there’s something to be said for walls?
One thing is for sure – this story isn’t just about fences; it’s about the broader conversation about how we protect ourselves and where we draw the line (or build the wall). Buckle up, because this political rodeo is just beginning! 🐎
