Fans say Emily in Paris season 4 has the best outfits yet
Emily in Paris‘ Emily Cooper has a new vision to match her new wardrobe in season four, part one.
Since the first five episodes of the Netflix series were released on August 15, fans have been obsessed with Lily Collins’ colorful fashion sense, claiming her outfits are better than in previous seasons.
From lavish sculptures to research couture, the Mirror, mirror The star wore playful designer clothes for the show’s first three seasons, imitating an exaggerated American interpretation of Parisian chic.
Emily Cooper, a hard-working luxury goods marketing executive who has been living in Paris since a Chicago assignment, believes the more extravagant and outlandish the better. She mixes patterns with metallics and wears accessories with little functionality. She’s the walking model of “anything is possible” – but fans of the show have had a hard time seeing that.
After watching seasons one through three, which featured Collins’ character in kitschy, doll-like clothing, viewers were not impressed.
A fan of Blunt compared Emily Cooper’s fashion on X, formerly known as Twitter, with Ugly Betty“Ugly Betty dresses like Emily in Paris“On Betty it’s considered ugly, but on Emily it’s high fashion. I wonder why,” they wrote.
“Okay, the outfits on Emily in Paris “Now they HAVE to troll us,” agreed another X-user after watching season three.
Despite the hate online, fans defended the theatrical wardrobe, finding it refreshing and “ahead of its time.” Today, most viewers are in love with Emily’s fashion, especially in part one of season four.
Ahead of the new season’s premiere, Collins told her fans that Emily will be wearing “fresh fashion” during her unexpected adventures this season, and so far, most agree that she’s looked better than ever. Between a royal blue Barbara Bui pantsuit with Paco Rabanne boots and a butter yellow look with an Isabel Marant corduroy skirt, fans feel that Emily is upping her style game.
“Obsessed with all these looks,” one Instagrammer wrote under a photo of Emily in the all-yellow ensemble.
A second added: “This season’s outfits are (fiery).”
“The outfits in Emily in Paris this season is different and possibly the best yet,” wrote one X user. “The fashion choices on the show have evolved and are receiving high praise from fans.”
Another agreed: “There’s something different about the outfits in Emily in Paris this season. And they might be the best yet.”
Viewers who preferred Emily’s eccentric looks seemed disappointed with the tone of this season, while others felt that the fashion of season four did its viewers a disservice as it did not conform to current trends.
“I think I didn’t like the fashion in S1 alone,” argued one person. “But with the resurgence of More is More, Emily in Paris this season was rather monotonous and that’s a shame because they finally found their audience and slowed down at the wrong time.”
Part two of Emily in Paris Season four will be released on Netflix on September 12th.
