Flight attendant reveals passengers could cost her $10,000 if they break these rules

A flight attendant made headlines when she revealed what passengers should definitely not do that could cost them thousands.

Sandra Jeenie Kwon is a high-profile flight attendant who has over ten million followers on TikTok. In one of her videos posted on August 13, she explains the worst mistakes one can make on an airplane trip.

“Did you know that flight attendants can be fined $10,000 out of their own pocket by the FAA?” she began.

“If you’re on an airplane and a flight attendant asks you to put your bag under the seat in front of you, or (says) you can’t hold your child who’s older than two, or (that) your dog can’t block the aisle, just listen.”

“Every time I don’t ask you to fasten your seat belt, if I don’t ask you to put your bag under (the seat), or if I don’t ask you to lift up the little tray or put your seat up… That costs $10,000… and the FAA can do that if they agree to it,” she warned viewers.

“So it’s either CashApp for me or you submit to it,” she concluded.

After the video – which has been viewed around 80,000 times – was released, people were torn about the information revealed by the stewardess. However, many voiced support for Sandra’s point of view.

“Thanks for sharing!! People don’t understand this. I’m not telling you this for fun, it’s my job and essentially for YOUR safety,” one said.

“I listen to you and respect you. Thank you for everything you do,” said another in solidarity.

However, some people were not so happy and shared their bad experiences:

“I see your point and understand that audiences can be terrible, but if you (FAs in general) want people to ‘just listen’ you all need to start behaving professionally as well. The lack of professionalism from FAs lately who seem to think their job is to hang out in the galley and enjoy snacks while they chat does not help earn respect.”

Another had a question for Sandra: “What about children with special needs like my three-year-old daughter who tries to get up from her seat and needs someone to hold her?”

“Most FA regulations are in place due to previous emergency/evacuation/accident situations, so I won’t go into detail about what I saw, but it would be much safer,” Sandra replied.

This isn’t the first time a flight attendant has gone viral on TikTok. In another video, a flight attendant revealed why people get kicked off flights.
