The best Call of Duty teams in the world have descended on Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to compete in the title’s first Esports World Cup (EWC). There’s a whopping $1.8 million in prize money up for grabs as a mix of Call of Duty League (CDL) and Challengers teams will compete over four days. After winning COD Champs, can OpTic pull off a second title after another? Follow along all weekend here to find out which team will win the final Modern Warfare 3 competition of the season.
EWC 2024 Call of Duty MW3: Format explanation, groups and schedule
format
- Four days of competition
- Days 1 and 2 will take place in group stage format
- All four teams from each group compete in a bracket
- The two best teams from the group stage advance (8 in total)
- All group stage sets are best-of-seven
- On days 3 and 4 the playoffs will take place in knockout format.
- The playoffs will be played in best-of-five format until the Grand Finals will be played in best-of-seven format.
